A case of pericarditis in an eight-year-old boy is presented in which Coxsackie virus Group B was isolated from the pericardial fluid. Only 1 other such case can be found in the literature. The occurrence of serosanguineous pericardial fluid in this condition and the pertinent literature are briefly discussed.
