Résumé du colloque

The purpose to discuss a number of characteristics and developments pertinent to the so-called peasant literature under Soviets, especially during the twenties and the first phase of the Social Realism doctrine. An attempt will be made to show that peasant literature as distinct literary entity, had been one of the key issues during the polemical twenties and its eventual disappearance had been greatly responsible for the degeneration of the literary art of the entire stalinist era. Certain writers and works will be used to illustrate our thesis.
