Résumé du colloque

In the last decade, a recent communication has been made by Dr. Maurice Bucaille in "L'Académie Francaise de Médecine" on 9/11/1976 under the title "Données physiologiques et embryologiques du Coran". This study was published in his two books (by Seghers, Paris) in 1976 & 1981. Our research during the last two years in a copy of the original text [OT] (year 632) has arrived to cover the missing points by the indication. Starting from the end of [OT], in Sourat [S]96 verse[V]1-2; the Coran pointed out the presence of an excreted liquid of a suspended nature from which man is created. Then in [S]80 [V]19 an indication of a zygot[z] unity is mentioned followed by an explanation [S]75[V]3 about a genetic factor included in such a transformation. Regarding [OT], [S]75[V]37-39 it is indicated that human sex determination occurs after a fixation process of a tissue. The later has certain number of stages[S]71[V]14. In [S]23[V]14 a fundamental concept is indicated as the unity[z] is created into a chewed-like unidentified tissue(s) which first develops bones then covered with muscles and followed by a transformation into a new state. Through[S]9[V]16-21, the probability of being pregnant[P] or non-[P] might be indirectly concluded. It is also clearly remarked that [OT] mentions number 14, 19 & 23 through these particular [S]and/or [V]associated with these facts, thus having an embryo-physiological significance(s).
