Résumé du colloque

Ovulation was induced in adult female rats by timely injected PMS followed by HCG. Autopsy was done 72 hrs following PMS injection and the tubal eggs were counted. PMS or HCG alone was ineffective in inducing ovulation but PMS at a dose of as low as 10 i.u. would readily induce ovulation if followed by 10 i.u. HCG (9.4 ± 1.0 eggs/rat). Increased number of ova was obtained with higher doses of PMS (30 i.u. or more) followed by 10 i.u. or more of HCG (12.9 ± 2.0 or more eggs/rat). Maximal ovulation was obtained in rats treated with 50 i.u. PMS and 50 i.u. HCG (22.0 ± 3.7 eggs/rat), and 100 i.u. PMS and 75 i.u. HCG (23.0 ± 4.6 eggs/rat)
