Résumé du colloque

Young guinea pigs maintained on a scorbutogenic diet and submitted to daily, fifteen minute aerosolations with a 1% aqueous solution of "Carbachol", using an aerosol generator having an airflow of 5 liters per minute liberating more than 4 x 10^6 microparticles per ml. air, over a period of several weeks, demonstrate a growth curve and mortality index which is comparable to the normal, ascorbic acid supplemented group, rather than to that of vitamin deficient animals. Other morphological effects such as the adrenal hypertrophy and hemorrhagic diathesis typical of scurvy are also prevented. The possible reasons for these hitherto unknown pharmacological actions will be discussed.
