VD

Membre a labase

Vadim D. Vladykov

Résumé du colloque

All larvae of Apodal fishes known as leptocephali have transparent body and large teeth. Representatives of various families differ by the body shape, number of myomeres (80-735), type of pigmentation and peculiarities of their intestinal tract. Some have short and large intestine, others have very thin and long intestinal tract opening near the caudal fin. Among Congridae there are leptocephali whose posterior part of the intestine with the anus trails free from the body wall.
