Résumé du colloque

Adult female mice were injected with a norethynodrel (98.5%) and mestranol (1.5%) combination (EnovidR) at doses of 200 ug. per mouse per day and 50 ug. per mouse per day for 15 days. Organ weights at autopsy showed increased uterine weight and decreased ovarian weight; and are suggestive of increased pituitary weight and decreased adrenal weight. The drug decreased the rate of body weight gain in the mice. Preliminary growth hormone content determination of the pituitaries showed no changes. Some structural changes were discernible in the histological preparations of the adrenals which may be ascribed to the estrogenicity of the drug.
