Résumé du colloque

The aim of this paper is to offer an analysis of the role of public mediation in the production, and articulation of national formations. The research traces an elaborated analysis of the link between cultural policies, cultural production, social discourse and the space of national "identitaries". In particular, it will be argued that the actions of regulation and cultural production of the state, both directly and "at a distance", need to be analysed within the terms of a broader mediational formation productive of the poles of intercultural debates. Thus: aesthetic genres; discourses of marketing; linguistic, cultural and citizenship policies; and, cultural criticism are seen as part of a virtual system linking media and cultural consumption, ethno-linguistic identities, and popular memories into the field of national "identitaries". The concept of social incorporation will be developed as a diagnostic of the articulation of affective alliances and agencies of intercultural regulation. The cultural field will be analysed as the central domain productive of contemporary rationalities of government and of the politics of inclusion and exclusion. The goal of the research is to demonstrate the mutual determination of ethno-linguistic relations and the broader media system of cultural production, subvention, circulation and consumption.
