This presentation reports on qualitative and quantitative analyses of the learning processes, of 120 high school students during exchange programmes focused on multicultural, anti-racist education in various Canadian cities. Findings describe five topics of learning and six learning processes common to these exchanges; determine that students perceived significant changes to have occurred in reference to their personal, psychological knowledge and skills (but not their capacities to act in local societal contexts); and document certain impacts that parents and teachers indirectly associated with this programme perceived to have taken place in schools, homes, and communities after the programme was completed.
