Robotic surgery has become a standard of practice over the last 20 years; recently, attempts have been made to introduce robots to anesthesia, as well. Anesthetic robots can be differentiated into pharmacological robots and manual robots. Whereas pharmacological robots have been used in research before, manual robots, robots, which replace human gestures, have only recently been developed. The presentation gives an overview of these developments.
