Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Scattering (CARS) Microscopy continues to develop in importance as a label-free imaging modality. We have developed a very simple yet high performance multi-modal version of a CARS microscope that permits simultaneous CARS, two-photon fluorescence and second harmonic generation microscopy of live cells and tissue. We have additonally employed optical pulse shaping methods that lead to improved spectral resolution and sensitivity.
