The Alzheimer’s Disease Assessment Scale (ADAS) is the most often used scale to measure change in many international multicenter trials, and epidemiological studies. Use across countries assumes straight translation and adaptation of the scale. Appropriate translation requires that the scale also be adapted to cultural differences, leaving it otherwise and psychometric properties unaffected. These meaningful problems have not yet received accurate attention. The aim to EURO-HARPID is to design transnational and psychometrically appropriate versions of widely used instruments such as ADAS, in most Western European Language. International cooperative study in eight European Western countries (Belgium, Germany, France, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, …

Memory problems are a major source of concern among aging and dementia. Whatever, different studies have shown a clear distinction between the pattern of spared and impaired memory’s functions observed in these subjects. None of them have focussed on the findings for prose materials, though text recall is a classic and frequent evaluation resource used, because is high sensibility to memory impairment and ecological value. Objectives : To compare processing and texts recall in normal aging, Mild Cognitive Impairment, Alzheimer and Parkinson’s diseases. This study, also, used a dual-task procedure in order to access texts processing, because the nature of …
