The reactions He^3(d,) Li^5, H^3(d,) He^5 and Be^9(d,) B^11 have been investigated for deuteron energies between 0.1 and 1.4 MeV. The gamma-rays have been detected with a NaI (Tl) spectrometer. Cross sections and angular distributions have been measured. Transitions to the first excited state P_1/2 of Li^5 could be detected and separated from the transitions to the ground state P_3/2. The experimental techniques will be described and the results discussed.
