This presentation describes the use of choice-based conjoint analysis (CBC) to examine environmental attributes relevant to older people’s preferences for neighbourhood open spaces. The use of CBC analysis is set up against the background of the I’DGO (Inclusive Design for Getting Outdoors) research project. I’DGO aims to investigate the mechanisms by which quality of neighbourhood environment affect the health and psychological well-being of older people. Sawtooth software was used to design a CBC questionnaire based on a partial design.
