As part of a project on Montreal's urban climate, surface thermal data (8-12 µm) were collected by aircraft with the CSO Daedalus scanner on two different dates. These aircraft missions were conducted at sunrise and solar noon for: (1) surface conditions with snow cover, March 16, 1976, and (2) a time of maximum vegetation cover, June 26, 1976. Ground truth-data were obtained during the time of each flight and were also calibrated with the aircraft sensors to remove atmospheric effects.
