In this research on the educational careers of Chinese high school students in Flanders, I focus on the notion of parental involvement. It has been found to be related directly and indirectly to a higher educational as well as a better social development of children. As a result of this theoretical evidence, it has become a priority for schools to involve parents more closely in the education of their child.
