How far do the parallels between ethics and epistemology extend? To pursue this question, I pick an attractive ethical theory, then model an epistemological theory on it as closely as possible. The ethical theory is W.D. Ross's theory of obligation in The Right and the Good, which is distinctively pluralist, defeasibilist, and intuitionist. The epistemological theory is a ‘Rossian epistemology', based in part on William Alston's ‘Doxastic Practice Epistemology'. The resulting epistemic theory is also pluralist, defeasibilist, and intuitionist, and (according to me) just as attractive as Ross's ethical theory. I anticipate, and defend the theory from, several criticisms.
